Hashgacha klolis

Hashem is the soul of the world.  The same way you have consciousness of everything in the body, Hashem is aware of everything.  His decision to intervene depends on one big factor. Look tat the natural world, it is the receiver of hashgacha klolis.  A blade of grass brings kavod to Hashem,  How does a blade of grass bring kavod?  By existing. You see its greenness, its freshness, its constant renewal. Its existence is the kavod. All blades of grass are the same. No reason to differentiate between them. They don’t need intervention.

Same with animals. One dog or another has no difference in purpose to Hashem.

However, a person brings kavod to Hashem through his choices. A person who chooses to seek Hashem brings glory through his search and the manifestations of his search. This is a difference between people. It is also true with non-Jews in certain regards, like Ninveh, like Cham being treated differently.

But with Jews there is a relationship with covenant.  Everything was created for us and for Torah. Every deed we do even for a Jew most distant from Hashem has significance. There is no such thing as insignificant choice if the chooser is a Jew.. Every choice will bring down some level of hashgacha. The more significant the choices the more revealed hashgacha the Jew has.

For instance, there were Amoraim could revive the dead because their level of interaction with Hashem was so profoundly high that He could break every natural law for them, and He did.  There are other people who are not going to enjoy that same level of extreme involvement because they would not know what to do with it nor do they deserve it. For an average person, there is always involvement. The question is how revealed is it.

Hashem’s involvement is something that we are meant to seek out. In all of your ways Know Him.  Not just praying – when you are ironing, cleaning, Know Hashem.  There are occasions in your life that lend themselves to greater revelations and those are the places you should put your ikar hakavanna, if you are a person of greatness.  If you are not a person of greatness, everything that comes your way could be responded to with meaning.

Suffering has meaning, it part of the covenantal relationship . Hashem’s  purposeful decision to hide from humans why this one and not that, it is inapproachable by the human mind.
