Rosh Chodesh Adar Aleph shiur by Rebbetzin Tziporah Heller

Rebbetzin Heller explains Shovivim Tat and the opportunity it presents to us. This shiur answers many questions about the balance between physical and spiritual existence and how we serve Hashem
Some samplings from my notes:
Adar parallels Yosef. When you count out the 12 tribes, Yosef is sometimes considered two tribes, Ephraim and Menashe. It is a month of balance, unifcation of sun and moon, month of making tikun in every possible way between what we know and who we are. We have learned so much sometimes we become totally different from our learning. We gain nothing by holding onto bad feelings and hatred.
What can we do to have the midda of yesod? How can we use the covenant through speech and flesh on the same page with what we learn? Are our beliefs and deeds on the same page?
We can make Hashem a place to live in the hearts of every one of us.
Nothing happens by itself. Prepare - take away all of the junk from before, all the nonsense has to go. To be holier in the future, drop the past. Adar relates to Nisan the way Elul relates to Tishrei. It is a time of preparation. Elul is teshuva meyira but Adar is a time of teshuva meahava. We love Hashem Who liberates us. We want to give Hashem whatever we have. Last week of Shovivim - our last opportunity to do teshuva of ahava - generosity of spirit - make His Shechina dwell amongst us!
Hashem counts the year from Nisan, from our liberation. In the last month, we see the culmination of all the previous months...this month has great light. Everything Hashem had in mind comes to culmination in Adar.
The end has all of the power of the beginning. We have the power to overcome Amalek in this month
any force that conceals kedusha that makes the head seem separate from the body. Amalek wants Hashem to seem vague and unreal, distant. When we destroy Amalek, kedusha happens by itself. The more we destroy every bit of coldness and distance that makes Hashem seem otherworldly, the closer we come.
Hashem is here with us all along.
